Jack Wilcox established a charitable trust in 1980 which left his entire estate to benefit the Plymouth Community. He had a vision that his estate should be invested in the Plymouth community and that the ultimate value to the community of this investment should exceed the initial value of the estate assets.
Jack’s idea was to provide seed money that would provide an opportunity for others to create lasting benefits and improvements for the Plymouth community. He did not want his resources simply “given away” to various benevolent causes, but rather wanted them put to productive use to generate ongoing long-term community benefits.
The Foundation Board will make grants that are in keeping with Jack’s philosophy and the stated purposes of the Foundation.
